平凡的高中生坂井悠二，在回家的商店街上與忽然出現的少女被捲入非日常的世界。這位少女，「炎髮灼眼的討伐者」夏娜──討伐干擾世界秩序的紅世之徒的火霧戰士的一員，告知了悠二他已經是已死的存在。為了保護身為特殊火炬「密斯提斯」的悠二，夏娜與欲針對他的紅世之徒展開戰鬥。 原以為坂井悠二，會是一個怕死的火炬「密斯提斯」，卻沒想到悠二很關心他人，在校園被紅世之徒的獵人法利亞格尼襲擊時，夏娜使用了悠二身上的存在之力，因而發現了藏在悠二身上的寶具『零時迷子』。
