雖然來自全國各地的好手雲集，不過青學的部長手塚國光已經傷愈復出，他們的實力依然引人注目。青學第一場比賽的對手是六角中學與沖繩代表隊比嘉中學的勝者。可是曾經與青學激戰數場的六角中學，卻在對手的進攻下被打得體無完膚。終於看破了對方秘密的六角隊監督，卻又遇到了一場被偽裝成意外的人為事故而負傷！看到這骯髒的一幕，青學隊員們怒火朝天卻又無能為力。正在全場黯然的時候，剛剛在全美公開賽中經歷激戰的龍馬回來了！但龍馬卻稱自己是回來加油的，而不是參加比賽，這時大石提出和龍馬決一勝負來決定參加比賽的人員，因為自己的手傷還沒有完全恢復，最後龍馬全勝大石，龍馬代替大石參加了全國大賽。全國大賽上的各路高手皆不是泛泛之輩，青學的各位和超級新人越前究竟能否成功到達頂端呢......
