一個愛好閱讀的初中女生「月島雫」，一天她在所借的書本圖卡上留意到一個總比她早借得該書閱讀的人～「天澤聖司」。後來她與天澤本人相遇並漸漸熟識。在一次偶然的機會中跟蹤天澤家的胖猫咪到了天澤在半山丘的家中作客，從此展開了月島與天澤的一段感情及互相鼓勵的經過。
