在1998年，機器人犯罪越來越嚴重，於是警察單位也開始使用機器人制止犯罪。泉野明為了想要駕駛機器人考上「特車二課」，殊不知這是警察的閒職單位，而且也是最會惹麻煩的單位。隊員太田功會衝動的駕駛機器人到處破壞，常常惹得他的搭檔進士幹泰胃痛，隊長後藤喜一總是負責收時他的爛攤子。篠原遊馬則是和她搭檔的夥伴，雖有淵博的知識，但偶爾會跟她鬥嘴，加上特車一課的挖角邀約，泉野明究竟還想不想繼續待在這呢？
