暑假時，一群自然學習學校的少年少女15人進入洞窟探險，名為可可貝利的神秘男子出現，希望這些人加入「自己做的遊戲」。遊戲內容為操作巨大的機器人，對抗襲擊地球的15個機器人。這些小孩子們認為這是電腦遊戲，於是與神秘男子定下合約。 在遊戲教學中，可可貝利操縱超大型戰鬥機器人戰勝了來自敵方的巨大機器人，並破壞其「核心」，在說明規則後可可貝利突然消失。 在那之後，孩子們加入了這場遊戲，操縱著名為「Zearth」的超大型戰鬥機器，經過了一場又一場的戰鬥，夥伴們卻一個接一個地遠去，在這場無法退出的遊戲中，他們認知到了這個世界的真正意義……
