Kakisuke was Momotarou's companion, from the Japanese folklore "Momotarou" (Peach Boy), but now works in animal hell helping to punish deceased people who used to abuse animals during their life.<br /> <br /> Later on there are some references to Kakisuke being the monkey from another japanese folk tale "The Crab and the Monkey".<br /><br />
