Masanobu is an Austrian court chef and Shigeru Kanmuri's half-brother whose speciality is jam. He competed against Kanmuri during the Yakitate! 25/Yakitate!! 9 program to decide who should take over their father's yakuza business. Despite his strong inferiority complex, he hates losing and is jealous of Kanmuri as he felt that Kanmuri's life was easier.<br /><br />
