Roland is a character of the day who appeared in <i>An Elite Coverup!</i> and a relative of the Sinnoh Elite Four member Bertha.<br /> <br /> Roland gave his Magby to a disguised Team Rocket for them to raise and evolve it into a Magmar, unaware of their true intentions. Afterward, he met Ash and his friends and became attracted to his Pikachu, which Roland later played with in a park.<br /> <br /> Later, with the help of his new friends—as well as Bertha—Roland was able to track down Team Rocket and be reunited with his Magby.
