He is Ralph Crewe's alumnus of Eton School and partner in a diamond mine. He comes to London to look for the daughter of his deceased friend while also recuperating from an illness he suffered in India. He uses a wheelchair at home, but uses a cane when he goes out. He looks a little old, but his actual age is in his 30s. He is single. At the end of the story, he learned that Sarah was Ralph's daughter and transferred his property. He is recovering Sarah's pet and things that were sold off in the final episode.<br /><br />
