Izanami is the goddess who governs over Yomi-no-Kuni, the land of the dead which souls travel towards reincarnation. Her true appearance is never seen, as she borrows the appearance of someone in her guest's memory (in Nanami's case, she takes on the appearance of Kayako and Ami).<br /> <br /> She is Ookuninushi's grandmother and frequently exasperated by her grandson's behavior.<br /><br />
