在《绝对双刃》的世界里，“焰牙”是凭借超化后的精神力将自己的灵魂具现化所创造出的武器。本作的主人公——九重透流，因为拥有这种千人中才有一人具备的能力，所以进入了教授使用“焰牙”作为战斗技术的昊陵学园就读。然而不知为何，透流的“焰牙”并非是武器，而是防具“楯”。就这样，因这种异能而受到了学校众人的关注的透流，遵照被称为“绊双刃”的学园拍档制度，须与银发美少女茱莉整天在同一房间里一同度过……故事也由此正式展开。
