动画的主角桃子是位从桃中诞生的美少女剑士，某日桃子接到了皇天女的命令，前去寻找散落在日本各地的“三千实之桃”的碎片，传说只要集齐这些碎片就能拥有改变世界的力量，于是桃子带着犬神、猿神和雉神踏上了旅途。此时以鬼王为首的鬼族也盯上了碎片，于是围绕着天界、鬼界、人间界的碎片争夺战就此展开。
