擁有靈媒體質的幻燈河螢多朗，自從他過去受到靈障，波及到青梅竹馬的寶月詠子便足不出戶，但閉門兩年多後，在她的鼓勵之下而重新振作。螢多朗成功與詠子考入同一所大學，為了回歸社會而開始當家教，嘗試重新恢復與他人交流的能力。第一個家教學生是詠子的堂妹寶月夜宵，同樣擁有靈媒體質，並且有能夠看到靈異的重瞳，為了救回被強大惡靈奪走的母親，經常跑去靈異場所，不斷收集惡靈煉蠱。由於靈體紛紛迴避擁有強大靈媒體質的夜宵，因此她需要螢多朗能吸引靈體的體質。從夜宵口中得知詛咒能夠解除的螢多朗，下定決心與夜宵收集惡靈，為了解除自己和詠子詛咒的螢多朗、想要救回母親靈魂的夜宵、以及熱愛靈異的詠子，三人的冒險由此展開。
