每年夏天舉辦的，以偶像為目標對於少女們最盛大登龍門「SELECTION PROJECT」，那是以偶像為目標努力著對於所有少女們所憧憬的舞台。也是傳說偶像「天沢灯」誕生的地方。美山鈴音 也是憧憬那如夢般舞台的其中一人。從小究體弱多病的她，在醫院的病床上聽了無數次灯的歌曲。帶給了許多歡笑與勇氣的她的歌聲。像是會支持著某人般、像是會使某人感到歡笑般、像是會帶給某人幸福般……「我也想成為像灯的偶像」。國中最後的夏天，鈴音為了實現夢想，決定向第7回「SELECTION PROJECT」挑戰。向 SELECTION挑戰的少女們，盡是些擁有不想要輸給任何人的強烈心情、日積月累的努力 以及 獨特出眾魅力的人們。即使如此，能在數千人的候補者當中脫穎而出獲選的只有數名而已。現在，為了實現夢想，少女們激烈且殘酷的戰鬥即將開始――。
