一之瀨花名因為在高中入學考試前一天患上腮腺炎無法參加考試，而比其他人晚了一年上高中。曾因為這件事實大受打擊而不願出門或是接觸其他高中生，隔年順利參加考試並進入高中，不過這件事花名沒有告訴同學。雖然別人可能會認為不算什麼大事，但對她來說是個重要的問題，所以想要追趕上其他人。因緣際會之下，花名遇見了三位同學，藉由互相交流與理解的方式，逐漸恢復原本正常學生的生活，慢慢向前邁進的故事。
