故事一開始是在騎士之村。這座村莊遠離著獵人們的社會，也有被封閉的地方。主角被村長賜予羈絆石，完成試煉成為騎士。一起完成考驗的搭檔「那比爾」與騎士身分成長後的主角，決定離開村莊踏上旅程。但危機也開始接近了。人們注意到理所當然的日常生活以及環境開始產生了深刻的變化，而且並不是村莊城鎮的小規模，而是擴大成全世界的規模。獵人跟騎士，自己被託付的職責受到了考驗，成為關鍵的是羈絆石以及隱藏在內的神秘力、關於古代傳說的真實，透過成長而提高的羈絆力量。主角將理解到羈絆的真正意義。騎士與那比爾，以及魔物的故事將展開。
